We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job SummarySummaryResponsible for preparing and cooking food items in specific sections or stations within the kitchen and providing leadership to peers on a designated shift.Does this position require Patient Care?NoEssential FunctionsPrepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.Take ownership of a specific station or section within the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, pantry, or pastry.Utilize a variety of cooking techniques, such as grilling, frying, baking, roasting, and sautéing, to prepare dishes.Assist in the execution of menu items, ensuring that dishes are prepared accurately, consistently, and with attention to detail.Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and hygienic working environment.Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, notify supervisors of shortages, and assist in placing orders as needed.Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean, organized, and sanitized.Provide leadership to peers on a designated shift.QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Culinary Arts preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
