Java Developer

Overview In this role you will design, build, and support CGC's eCMS platform as part of the Development team. You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and QA to deliver working software and improve development practices. You tackle complex problems, stay current with technologies, and mentor teammates to bring new ideas. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with analyst, development and QA teams on design, implementation, and defect verification for CGC productsIdentify opportunities to improve software development methods and communicate recommendationsDeliver working software regularly in coordination with design and directionParticipate in project estimation, decision analysis and schedulingCommunicate effectively with stakeholders and present information clearlyMentor others and contribute new approaches to the teamAdapt to changing requirements and manage competing demands Key requirementsCollege degree or certification in a field related to software development and at least five years of relevant technical experience or equivalentProficiency in Java technologies: Java/J2EE, JSF/JSP, JDBC, JNDI, JavaWSDB proficiency: MSSQL, DB2Experience with servers: WebSphere, IISAbility to write and debug complex stored procedures/triggers in SQLExcellent written and verbal communicationTeam-oriented and well-organizedMentoring and knowledge sharingJava/J2EEJSF/JSPJDBC
