1099 Contractor for Household Relocation with Own Box Truck and crew

Planes Moving and Storage Company is seeking reliable and hardworking 1099 Contract Residential Movers with own 26 ft Straight Truck to assist with residential moving projects on an as‑needed basis. As an independent contractor, you will support loading, unloading, packing, and transporting household goods in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, have strong customer service skills, and can represent the company professionally at each job site.Responsibilities:Safely load and unload household goods, furniture, and personal belongings.Pack, wrap, and secure items using moving blankets, shrink wrap, and other materials to prevent damage.Disassemble and reassemble furniture when required.Follow instructions from Dispatch and coordinate with team members to complete moves efficiently.Handle customer belongings with care and maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times.Maintain a clean and safe working environment during all phases of the move.Use proper lifting techniques and equipment (dollies, straps, etc.) to minimize risk.Arrive on time for scheduled assignments and complete contracted work as agreed.Communicate promptly about scheduling, delays, or job‑related issues.Qualifications:Must have a valid license, clean MVR report, DOT CardPrevious residential moving experience and own 26'+ Box Truck in good condition.Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs. consistently throughout the day.Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments (stairs, tight spaces, heat/cold).Excellent customer service and communication skills.Professional appearance and demeanor.Must be at least 21 years old Ability to work as an independent contractor and provide appropriate documentation (W‑9, identification, etc.).
