Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Optical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of optical network deployment projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in optical technologies such as DWDM, OTN, and hands-on experience managing large-scale network rollouts. This role requires strong leadership, customer engagement, and operational execution skills to drive successful project outcomes.Location: On-site for Seattle, WA and Ashburn, VAKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage Optical network deployment projects from initiation through completionOversee deployment of DWDM and OTN-based transport networksCoordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, vendors, and customersManage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure successful deliveryDrive deployment of new optical routes and network expansionsAct as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and customersEnsure compliance with technical standards, quality benchmarks, and business objectivesProvide regular status updates, reporting, and executive-level communicationIdentify and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactivelyRequired Skills & Qualifications10+ years of experience in project management within the optical networking domainStrong expertise in Optical Deployment, DWDM, and OTN technologiesHands-on experience managing deployments involving Ciena or similar optical platformsProven track record of delivering large-scale optical network rollout projectsExperience working on the customer side as an Optical Deployment Project ManagerStrong understanding of both business and operational aspects of project deliveryExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skillsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with global telecom infrastructure and long-haul networksPMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
