CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:• Contract Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of vendor contracts in Ntracts(contract management system), including workflow approvals, execution,renewals, and terminations. Ensure accurate filing and timely updates. Providesystem access and training for managers and administrators.• Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and edit contracts to ensurecompliance with business needs and applicable local, state, and federalregulations.• Legal Support: Assist the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer with mattersrelated to subpoenas, billing, insurance claims, arbitration, mediation, complaints,and litigation. Prepare and manage case files, including evidence, exhibits,depositions, pleadings, and related documents.• Legal Research: Conduct legal research; compile and organize factual andtechnical information. Develop chronologies, reports, and visual aids to supportlegal analysis and decision-making.• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze statutes, regulations, judicialdecisions, and legal articles. Track new or updated regulations to supportcompliance efforts.• Corporate Governance: Provide administrative support to the QualityAssurance Committee, including managing meeting agendas, preparingmaterials and minutes, and reporting updates and policies to the Board ofDirectors.• Administrative Support: Complete special projects and assignments asdirected by the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.• Maintains strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA (Health InsurancePortability and Accountability) guidelines and InterMed policies.• Perform other duties to support the mission, vision and values of InterMed.MISSION AND VALUES:• Follows InterMed's mission to provide patient-centered primary care, putting thepatient first to deliver high quality, high value care.• Provide the highest quality care to our patients with a level of service thatexceeds their expectations.• Maintain a positive attitude and always treat our patients and each other withdignity and respect.• Insist on honesty and integrity from each other and our business partners.• Make teamwork a core component of our relationships between physicians, staff,and patients.• Embrace change to better serve our patients.• Use business practices that feature individual accountability and groupresponsibility to ensure delivery of high value healthcare.• Have fun as we carry out our mission to serve.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:• Education:o Associate's degree in business or related field required• Experience:o 3 years of paralegal experience in a healthcare setting preferredo Superior interpersonal skills and ability to utilize tact, diplomacy, anddiscretion for all interactions with patients and their families requiredo Excellent critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, superior conflictresolution and problem-solving skills requiredo Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to effectivelycommunicate with all levels of the organization required •o Requires a high level of sensitivity to confidential information anddemonstrates discretion in all interactionso Strong computer skills; specifically, the Microsoft suite including,SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointo Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from electronic database.o Ability to generate and deliver effective presentations.o Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workflow inresponse to shifting demands.• License/Certifications:Equal Opportunity Employer
