SummaryProvide technical direction and support for test procedures, processes and equipment for new and existing products. This includes development of new test setups, automation, software and modernization of processes. Must be able to confer with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Test team and Quality to ensure product quality and success.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting production test teams in successfully creating, validating and troubleshooting test setups to conduct required testing on all productsCreates comprehensive hardware & software solutions to test electromechanical products while incorporating automation capabilities and reducing technician touch timeProvides technical assistance and liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and other departments and assists in implementing new techniques and proceduresExhibits ability to gather input from production personnel, and encourage a spirit of teamwork, through listening and implementation of process improvements on the production floorAnalyzes and recommends process changes for ease of production test personnel, cost reduction and quality improvementSets-up and maintains equipment for an operational Engineering development labAssist in development of new circuit and PCB designs as neededPerforms in-process testing on low quantity sales samples and Engineering modelsWrites Acceptance Test Procedures, Qualification test procedures and Final reports among other project deliverablesSupports supervising or supporting tests performed by external laboratoriesSupervises test technicians as part of the engineering support role by providing them with the theoretical basis for measurement techniques, test equipment operation, test equipment calibration, circuit theory and trouble shootingProvides technicians with components and dedicated equipment to support their role in quality assurance testing and provide data analysis as neededExercises project management skills to insure proper execution and timely completion of assigned projectsDrives research and justifications for capital investments in test related equipmentSupport technical discussions, spec reviews and/or tollgates with both internal and external customersSupervision:Does not Supervise anyoneKnowledge Skills and Abilities:B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or equivalent education/experienceKnows the basics of electrical engineering and the working theory and physics of components like resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, MOSFETS, amplifiers, etc.Knows the basic concepts and theory of RF and RF components like switches, amplifiers, power dividers/combiners, couplers, attenuators, amplifiers, Insertion loss, return loss, VSWR, inter modulation, compression, and etc.Knows how to use test equipment like Vector Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, DMM, DAQsKnowledge of LabView or equivalent programming languageRecommend 2 of 5 years of experience in Test Engineering in a manufacturing environmentExperience with electrical and environmental testing of electromechanical hardware productsMust have proficient PC skills relevant to the position (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Project).Possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with Coworkers, Customers, and Suppliers.Physical Requirements:Able to read documents and computer screensAble to move around an office building and up stairsAble to sit/stand for long periods of timeAble to type on a computer keyboardAble to communicate through a telephoneAble to communicate with co-workersWork ArrangementOnsite Pay Range: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 annuallyBonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.#J-18808-Ljbffr
