Warehouse Assistant

Job Description Seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Assistant with excellent communication and organizational skills. A qualified candidate will work closely with the warehouse and order fulfillment team to ship all products and activities for the Receiving, Returns, and Pick/Pack Operation. This is a physical and fast-paced position.All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.The position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:Pick OrdersPick order tickets and process them by completing any required paperwork, locating items in the warehouse, moving them to the processing and shipping area accurately.Pack OrdersPack orders and prepare them to be shipped. They must inspect the items to ensure that they're not damaged or missing any parts, and package them according to specifications.Maintain Inventory & WarehouseThe Warehouse Assistant helps the Warehouse Manager in maintaining warehouse inventory by arranging boxes and ensures they're stored in a way that they won't be damaged. They're also often responsible for maintaining general cleanliness in the warehouse.Skills:The Warehouse Assistant should be detail-oriented, a problem-solver who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly. When problems arise, they must be able to act quickly and decisively. In order to be successful, the warehouse assistant should have strong communication skills and able to work as a team member with a wide variety of people in the supply chain.Having basic mathematical abilitiesDemonstrating verbal and written communication skillsBeing proficient in basic computer applicationsBeing able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objectsInspect and verify inbound and outbound productMaintain inventory levels by conducting physical countsKeep warehouse clean and organizedFollow all safety rules and policies set forth by the companyEducation and/or Experience:-2-3 years warehouse experience-High-volume distribution management-Proven track record-Proficient in Microsoft OfficeHours: 8am- 4:30 pm M-FCompany DescriptionTempaper & Co. continues to develop innovative home décor products made from the highest quality materials, offering designers and consumers of all ages the freedom to design their world as they see it.
