Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Employment Type: Full-Time with Benefits Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Work Mode: Primarily off-site with periodic on-site support at NJDEP facilities in Trenton, NJ, as requested. Security & Compliance: Subject to background checks and eligibility for access to State systems and facilities. Position Overview: · The Senior Business Analyst serves as a key functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Contractor’s Project Manager for NJDEP maintenance and support initiatives. This role is responsible for leading functional analysis activities, coordinating closely with NJDEP stakeholders, and ensuring business requirements, design documentation, and testing support aligning with agency standards and project objectives. Responsibilities: · Provide direct functional support to the Contractor’s Project Manager throughout the agreement. · Schedule, facilitate, and conduct weekly status meetings with NJDEP stakeholders. · Support and lead functional activities during the Requirements Definition process. · Author Detailed Design documentation as required throughout the project lifecycle. · Provide functional expertise and support during system development and testing phases. · Collaborate with technical teams and NJDEP staff to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system functionality. Experience Required (Mandatory – NJDEP Minimum Qualifications): · At least three (3) years of experience in each of the following areas: · Supporting environmental projects in the public sector (Federal, State, or Local). Supporting or conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions. Working with Atlassian JIRA Project Management Software. Certifications & Specialized Qualifications: · Pega Certified Business Architect (Pega 7 or newer) – required. · Certified Product Owner in SCRUM Agile methodology – required. Preferred Skills & Experience: · Prior experience with NJDEP systems including NJEMS, RSP, OPRATS, DataMiner, RADIUS, COMPASS, Letterbuilder, PDF Processor, and Spreadsheet Processor. Strong stakeholder communication, documentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, government-regulated environment. Educational Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
