They will also actively participate in site maintenance and upkeep to drive the 5s and "make it better" programs. The Terminal Operator 2 will actively engage with customers to ensure that we are providing a solid customer experience on site. The terminal Operator 2 will be able to operate all mobile equipment on site effectively and complete basic maintenance functions.Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.Gains full understanding and demonstrates adherence to the safety programLoads trucks as per the daily schedule, utilizing the onsite systemsUnloads product as per the daily schedule, utilizing the onsite systemsHandles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnelMaintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructionsCompletes all safety checks and audits independently on siteMaintains supply point and 5S standardsOperates mobile equipment safely and efficiently on siteCompletes basic maintenance of equipment on siteBasic computer skills in Microsoft Word and ExcelAdditional duties as assigned by supervisor.To succeed in this position, you will need:High school graduation or equivalent is required.Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.Independently proficient with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, completing training and other programsReceived internal or external certification for Rail Conductor, Barge and Truck Safety as per site requirementsReceived internal or external certification for use of onsite mobile equipment as per site requirementsDemonstrate the safe operations of site equipmentWillingness to learn, training will be provided.What to expect in a cement environment:Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions.
