Forklift Operator - (Various Shifts)

Job Description Description: Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob Hours (Shift): 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift based on operational needsPosition Summary:The Forklift Operator role is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to support material movement within a fast-paced automotive logistics and production environment. This position ensures the timely delivery of parts to the assembly line, accurate inventory handling, and compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate sit-down forklift equipment safely and efficiently in a production environmentPick automotive parts and deliver materials to the assembly line to support production flowLoad and unload materials from trucks, racks, and staging areasMove, stack, and stage materials according to operational requirements and production schedulesPerform daily forklift inspections and report any safety or maintenance concernsAccurately scan and track inventory movements using warehouse systems or RF scannersFollow all company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating processesMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all timesSupport inventory counts, audits, and additional warehouse tasks as assignedRequirements: Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience within the last year requiredProven ability to safely operate sit-down forklift equipmentAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety standardsAbility to follow instructions and directions from supervisors and managementBasic computer or RF scanner experience preferredWillingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as requiredWork Environment:Work is performed in a warehouse or automotive production environment with exposure to moving equipment and assembly operationsMust be able to stand and work on foot for 8 to 10 hours per shiftFrequent lifting, bending, walking, and reaching throughout the shiftExposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditionsRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment, including steel-toe shoes or boots and safety glasses at all times on the shop floorWhy Join Schnellecke Logistics:Schnellecke Logistics is a global, family-owned logistics provider with more than 80 years of experience supporting automotive and industrial supply chains.
