OverviewThe School of Physical Therapy at Tour University Nevada is seeking dedicated and qualified individuals to join our dynamic team of adjunct faculty members. As an adjunct faculty member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of physical therapy professionals. This is a pooled position from which adjunct faculty will be hired. As openings occur, we will draw candidates from this pool. Please visit the tun.touro.edu/administration/human-resources website where you can see a comprehensive listing of optional benefits and Human Resources contact information.ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Curriculum Development:Delivering high-quality instruction to students in various physical therapy courses.Designing and developing course content in collaboration with the primary instructor that aligns with the program's objectives and industry standards.Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and evidence-based practice.Evaluating student performance, providing constructive feedback, and assessing learning outcomes effectively.Mentoring and Advising:* Serving as a mentor to students, guiding them in their academic and professional pursuits.* Providing support and encouragement to students, helping them navigate challenges and facilitating their growth and development.Professional Development:* Engaging in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in physical therapy education, practice, and technology.* Participating in workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance teaching strategies and maintain professional credentials.Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisorQualificationsEducation:* A doctoral degree (Ph.D., DPT, or equivalent) in Physical Therapy or a related field.* A current and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in the state of Nevada.Experience:Demonstrated expertise and experience in the field of physical therapy through clinical practice, research, and/or teaching.Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred but not mandatory.Expertise or experience with pediatrics, cardiopulmonary, integumentary, or acute care populations.Strong knowledge base in a specific area of physical therapy.
