Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns to nurseProvides high level customer service to all patients, patient's family, visitors and all employeesProvides accurate, precise, timely documentation when applicable for patient careUses professional, verbal and written communication skills at all timesProvides PerfectServ notifications to Physicians as requiredEducationHigh School/GED (required)Required Licensing & CertificationsBLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred)Nursing Student with First Clinical Rotation complete OR state testing complete (required)ExperiencePreference for recent experience in acute care and/or long term care facilitySkills & AbilitiesAbility to clearly communicate to other members of the healthcare teamAbility to understand and follow directions of healthcare teamKnowledge of patient and healthcare safety standards and regulations (i.e. falls, skin breakdown, suicide prevention, environment of care)Infection prevention and transmission based precautionsUnderstanding of clerical duties and office based technologyTeam dynamicsPatient data collection and documentation (i.e. vital signs, intake/output, change in patient condition)Basic hygiene and activities of daily living careFeeding, hydration, and nutritionBowel and bladder eliminationAmbulation and patient mobilityUse of clinical technologyCompassionate, relationship based approach in care activitiesAccountability for completion of assigned tasksEscalation of concerns via chain of commandUse of clinical technology, including blood sugar testing and EPOC Blood Analysis testingTrainingN/AAs a Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
