AWS Cloud Engineer (USC)

*AWS Cloud Engineer * *Location: Herndon, VA – 3 Days/Week* *Only USC with Active Secret Clearance * *Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* * 8+ years related experience. * Bachelor’s Degree required in a relevant field. Master’s Degree in a relevant field preferred * Deep systems engineering comprehension of the state of the art in large scale cloud implementation and migrations in cloud environments, the infrastructure considerations, and the respective best practices and challenges. * Experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions to Amazon Web Services (AWS), * Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team * Participating in an on-call rotation * Hands-on experience working with tools and technologies in, at minimum, two of the following areas software development, configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, cloud services, open-source technologies. * xperience with AWS services like Lambda, EC2, EMR, Redshift, Glue, S3, IAM, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB etc. * Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills – including the ability to develop solutions in new and creative ways. * Ability to combine knowledge and expertise from diverse areas in new/unique ways to solve problems. * Strong ability to lead disparate teams from different groups form consensus. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. * Strong ability to brief senior executives with little notice. * Comfortable in a fast paced/dynamic environment. * Ability to function in an action officer type role when needed. Job Type: Contract Pay: $102,827.96 - $123,835.83 per year Work Location: In person
