Senior Mechanical Designer Lead complex projects and shape innovative building systems. As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you’ll oversee a team of job captains, drafters, and consultants to deliver high-quality construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and client interaction to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. What You’ll Do Collaborate with project leadership to develop and execute plans. Apply working knowledge of ASHRAE codes and industry standards. Design and layout HVAC systems (including energy calculations) and plumbing systems (sanitary waste, venting, domestic water, natural gas). Select, size, and specify HVAC and plumbing components. Document designs in AutoCAD and prepare scope, concepts, and cost estimates. Conduct site visits, gather field data, and prepare reports. Direct and mentor staff and consultants preparing drawings and specifications. Review project status, budgets, and proactively address risks. Maintain strong client, consultant, and agency relationships. Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in mechanical design for building systems. Strong leadership and project management skills. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and familiarity with ASHRAE codes. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
