Job Title: Project Engineer (Data Center Construction)Location: Remote with up to 75% travel (Domestic & International)Position Type: 1+ year contract (potential extension/conversion)Pay Range: $55-60/hr. (or higher/negotiable based on experience)Summary:The Project Engineer will be responsible for project documentation, technical coordination, procurement support, scheduling assistance, logistics management, and field execution support. The ideal candidate has experience supporting data center construction projects and understands the fast-paced environment of mission-critical facilities.Responsibilities:• Support project planning, scheduling, tracking, and closeout.• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.• Maintain project documentation, logs, records, and version control.• Coordinate engineering, procurement, vendors, materials, shipping, and logistics.• Track equipment, purchase orders, long-lead materials, and inventory.• Support site mobilization, access, travel, and field activities.• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, invoices, and cost tracking.• Prepare status reports, meeting minutes, action items, and project updates.• Identify and escalate project risks, delays, and issues.• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.Qualifications:• 2-5 years of Project Engineer, Assistant PM, Project Coordinator, Construction Administrator, or similar experience.• 1-2+ years supporting data center, mission-critical, or network infrastructure projects.• Experience with construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change management.• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.• Valid driver’s license.• U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one.
