Handyman/Maintenance Technician

This position will support our retail furniture stores throughout the greater Pittsburgh market. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of our store environments through painting, wallpapering, light carpentry, and general maintenance work. The ideal candidate has strong trade skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable traveling between store locations.Job DutiesPerform interior painting and wallpapering for sales floors, offices, and back-of-house areasComplete light carpentry and repair work, including drywall patching and minor structural repairsMaintain store fixtures, displays, and non-mechanical equipmentSafely move and reposition furniture as needed for repairs or store resetsUse hand tools and basic power tools to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safelyClimb ladders and work at heights as required for painting and repairsConduct routine inspections and proactively address maintenance issuesTravel between store locations within the greater Pittsburgh areaFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environmentOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Valid driver's license and reliable transportationHigh school education or equivalentSkills and Abilities:Proven experience in painting, wallpapering, and drywall repairBasic carpentry and general maintenance experience preferredAbility to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipPhysical Demands:Ability to lift, move, and carry furniture and materialsComfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periodsAbility to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipmentSchedule:Full-time schedule, which may occasionally include early mornings or evenings based on store needsWork Environment:Retail store environments and occasional back-of-house areasFrequent travel between locations within the regional market
