SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES POSITION VACANCIES EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR - 2026 POSITION: Speech-Language Pathologist(s) Description: The Delta-Schoolcraft ISD (DSISD) will employ Speech-Language Pathologist(s) to assist in meeting the requirements for Extended School Year (ESY) services for preschool and school-aged students, Early On children, students in the MoCI program at Lemmer School, and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and certification Schedule: Up to 30 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the Speech-Language Pathologist. POSITION: Occupational Therapist Description: The DSISD will employ Occupational Therapist(s) to assist in meeting the requirements for Extended School Year (ESY) services for preschool and school-aged students, Early On children, students in the MoCI program at Lemmer School, and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: Occupational Therapist Registry Schedule: Up to 7 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the Occupational Therapist. POSITION: Physical Therapist Description: The DSISD will employ a Physical Therapist to assist in meeting the requirements for Extended School Year (ESY) services for preschool and school-aged students, Early On children, students in the MoCI program at Lemmer School, and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: Physical Therapist licensure Schedule: Up to 11 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the Physical Therapist. POSITION: School Social Worker Description: The DSISD will employ School Social Worker(s) to assist in meeting the requirements for Extended School Year (ESY) services for preschool and school-aged students, Early On children, students in the MoCI program at Lemmer School, and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: School Social Worker licensure Schedule: Up to 2 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the School Social Worker. POSITION: DHH Teacher Description: The DSISD will employ a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to assist in meeting the requirements for Extended School Year (ESY) services for preschool and school-aged students, Early On children, students in the MoCI program at Lemmer School, and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: Valid licensure as a DHH Teacher Schedule: Up to 2 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the DHH Teacher. POSITION: Teacher Consultant - VI Description: The DSISD will employ a Teacher Consultant/Visually Impaired (VI) to assist in meeting the requirements for Extended School Year (ESY) services for preschool and school-aged students, Early On children, students in the MoCI program at Lemmer School, and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: Valid licensure as a VI Teacher Schedule: Up to 1 total day, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the Teacher Consultant/VI. POSITION: School Psychologist Description: The DSISD will employ a School Psychologist to assist in meeting the requirements for Early On evaluations and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: School Psychologist certification Schedule: Up to 3 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the School Psychologist. POSITION: Teacher Consultant Description: The DSISD will employ a School Psychologist to assist in meeting the requirements for Early On evaluations and students at the Learning Center. Qualifications: Master's degree in education or a field related to special education. Candidates must provide evidence of a minimum of three years of satisfactory teaching experience, including at least two years in a special education classroom. Substitute teaching experience in general or special education classrooms may be considered toward meeting this requirement. Schedule: Up to 3 total days, including Early On evaluation obligations, as scheduled by the Director of Special Education in consultation with the School Psychologist and Teacher Consultant. Salary will be based on the employee's normal school year per diem hourly rate. Half days will be 3.5 hours, and full days will be 7.25 hours (including a duty-free lunch). All time with students and travel time will be logged accurately; staff will follow the students' ESY requirements accurately. Timesheets with student encounters, travel time, and other caseload management details will be submitted to the Director weekly.
