CNC Programmer

QualificationsPerform CNC Programming functions in accordance with approved data such as the Orginal Equipment Manufacture Manuals, the customer's manual or other CCS approved data. Ensure the CNC equipment used on the shop floor is in good working condition and the calibration is current, as applicable. Properly document, develop and implementation CNC programs as required. Fine Tune and troubleshoot CNC equipment and programs as required. Keep CNC programming updated and properly backed up. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Broad CNC working knowledge (Fanuc and Acramatic controllers primarily). CAM programming experience (preferably with MasterCAM) Two years' experience in this field or completion of a specialized course. Performed at Machine Tool Operator level or equivalent. High school diploma or equivalent. CERTIFICATIONS None COMPUTER SKILLS Moderate computer skills in Microsoft Office MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Perform CNC programming functions in accordance with approved data such as the Original Equipment Manufacture Manuals, the customer's manual or other CCS approved data. Ensure the CNC equipment used on the shop floor is in good working condition and the calibration is current, as applicable. Properly document the development and implementation of new CNC programs so as to substantiate their implementation on a routine basis. Develop and implement the required CNC software for all CNC equipment at Chromalloy Component Services, Inc. (CCS). Fine tune and troubleshoot CNC equipment programming issues so as to insure the proper outcome. Keep CNC software utilized at CCS updated and properly backed up. Determine the best approach to solve CNC programming problems as they appear; take ownership of projects and work projects through to completion. Cross-train to become proficient in all CNC controls utilized at this facility. Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and utilization of interpretations standards such as ANSI Y14.5. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished part, sequence of operations and set-up requirements. Perform advanced set-ups on machining procedures and train machine tool operators in proper operations of such. Read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and safety manuals.
