Shift Details: Shift Hours: Night Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Role: Inpatient Hospitalist Average Patients/Day: 15-20 (day), 2-8 (night) Average Admissions/Day: 6 Average Admissions/Night: 5-10 ICU Critical Care Duties: Engage in critical care responsibilities within the ICU setting. Midlevel Support: No midlevel support during the night, allowing you to take a lead role in patient care. Code Response: Be prepared to respond to Codes efficiently, contributing to a proactive healthcare environment. Backup in ER: Not expected to serve as backup in the ER, allowing you to focus on inpatient care. Certifications: Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications to ensure the highest standard of patient care. Procedures: Perform essential procedures for the night shift, including vent management, central lines, and intubations (preferred for day shifts). Requirements: Board Certification: Board-Certified in Internal Medicine to showcase expertise and commitment to quality care. North Carolina DEA: Possess a valid DEA license for the state of North Carolina. Code Response: Ability to respond effectively to Codes, contributing to the immediate and efficient management of critical situations.
