Security Engineer

*Job Title:* NOC Security Engineer – Palo Alto / Service Provider Networks *Location:* *Little Rock, AR or Jonesboro, AR* – Onsite *About the Role:* We are seeking an experienced *NOC Security Engineer* to join our Network Operations Center team. This senior-level position provides operational support and serves as the top escalation point for our *data, voice, and transport networks*. You will configure and manage *Palo Alto Firewalls*, troubleshoot complex network issues, and work closely with engineering and field operations teams. *Key Responsibilities:* * Manage network systems: servers, routers, switches, firewalls, storage devices * Configure, administer, and secure Palo Alto Firewalls * Troubleshoot and escalate complex data, voice, and transport network issues * Administer network surveillance systems and perform deep network analysis * Work with multi-vendor technologies: Cisco, Ciena, Nokia, Calix, Alcatel, Metaswitch * Use tools like Telnet, SSH, traceroute, and Wireshark for diagnostics * Perform operational acceptance for new network elements *Required Skills & Experience:* * 3+ years in NOC, Network Engineering, or similar role * Strong Palo Alto Firewall configuration/administration experience * Solid understanding of LAN/WAN protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, NAT, ACL) * Experience with Service Provider transport networks * Hands-on with Cisco and other telecom vendor platforms * Scripting or automation experience a plus *Preferred Certifications:* * Cisco CCNA/CCNP * Nokia NRS I/II * Palo Alto PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE *Education:* * Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience *Why Join Us:* * Work with advanced network technologies in a collaborative environment * Opportunities for certification and career growth * Competitive pay and benefits package.
