Organize and inventory of classrooms, studio and construction lab and supplies, tools and equipment within. Manage the use of specialized equipment such as printer/plotter, 3D printers, laser engraver, etc. for program instructors and students. Assist with small construction projects for the program and courses. Attend college marketing and recruiting events as well as assist in program sponsored nights such as college and career night. Complete drawings and images in CADD and other computer graphic software (Photoshop, SketchUp, etc.). Perform miscellaneous office and clerical duties. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled at JJC for at least 6 credit hours. GPA of 2.0 or above Proficient in CADD and computer graphic software (minimum two semesters of related work) and Microsoft Office. Ability to use hand tools and small power tools. Knowledge of construction industry terminology, methods and procedures Knowledge of high technology equipment such as 3D printing, etc. Good organizational skills and ability to work independently. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence. Preferred Qualifications AEC, CADD or ARCH major. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency Demonstrated multicultural competence. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Normal classroom physical demands. WORKING CONDITIONS Duties are performed indoors in classrooms or labs and occasionally an outdoor environment. Scheduled Weekly Hours: This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
