This includes:fostering student growth,promoting sportsmanship and citizenship, andensuring alignment with school, league, and state association expectationsCommitment to building a positive and inclusive program culture.Emphasis on student development beyond competition (leadership, accountability, teamwork)Alignment with school and district values.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Organize and conduct practices, competitions, and/or eventsInstruct student participants in fundamental skills, strategy, and safetyPromote academic success and appropriate student conductSupervise students at all times during practices, contests, and travelMaintain compliance with school, district, and state regulationsCommunicate effectively with students, parents, administration, and staffAssist with equipment inventory, care, and budget awarenessModel and enforce sportsmanship and ethical behaviorAttend required meetings, trainings, and professional developmentSupport multi-sport/activity participation when appropriateOrganize and lead team practices focused on academic competitionDevelop study strategies across multiple subject areasCoordinate participation in meets and tournamentsFoster academic excellence and teamworkQualifications:Previous coaching or relevant experience preferredKnowledge of rules, techniques, and strategies of the activityAbility to work with high school-aged studentsStrong communication and organizational skillsMust meet all district and state certification requirements (CPR, First Aid, coaching certifications, etc.)Working Conditions:Seasonal position with evenings, weekends, and travel requiredIndoor and/or outdoor environments depending on activity
