If you are seeking meaningful, mission-driven work without ongoing therapy panels, medication management, or call, this opportunity offers a focused clinical model with predictable weekday hours.About the RoleIn this position, you will perform comprehensive, one-time behavioral health evaluations to assist the VA in determining disability claims.You will not:Assign disability ratingsDevelop treatment plansPrescribe medicationsProvide ongoing psychotherapyYour role is to objectively assess and document findings. Final disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.Clinical ScopeBehavioral health exams are scheduled for 90+ minutes to allow for comprehensive evaluation of conditions such as:PTSDDepressionAnxiety disordersEating disordersYou will:Review Veterans medical and mental health history prior to the appointmentConduct structured, face-to-face evaluationsComplete electronic Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)Submit documentation within 48 hoursDocumentation is completed through a guided web-based Provider Portal. Dedicated administrative time is built into the schedule for dictation and documentation to preserve interview flow and clinical integrity.All documentation is reviewed for compliance and clarity before submission to the VA.Structure & EnvironmentFull-time, Monday Friday scheduleFace-to-face evaluations at a dedicated facilityHigh Veteran population and consistent volumeStructured exam templatesAdministrative support and compliance reviewQualificationsPhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited doctoral programORMD/DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in PsychiatryActive, unrestricted South Carolina licenseAbility to work independentlyStrong clinical assessment and documentation skillsBasic computer proficiencyVA or C&P experience preferred but not required.
