Whether you are just starting your career or are an experienced Electrician with a can-do attitude who takes pride in his work, we want to hear from you!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assists in installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment.Replace light fixtures, lamps, receptacles, switches, and ballasts as neededPulling wire in conduit or racewayMeasure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.Transport tools, materials, equipment and supplies to work site by hand, hand truck.Move and organize materials as requiredClean work areaPerforms other facilities maintenance work as neededErect electrical system components and barricadesPerform skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipmentTransport tools, materials, equipment and supplies to work site by hand, handtruck or motorized truckInstall copper clad ground rods using a manual post driverThread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate and secure conduit support brackets, using hand toolsWorking ConditionsPosition requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of yearWork from all types of ladders (step ladders, "A" frame, extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' stepladder.Perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other areasWear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses at all times).Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingersAble to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required and night shiftsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overheadLift up to 50 poundsConstantly moving/standingMust possess good vision, normal or correctedCompany DescriptionAs an industry leader in mission-critical electrical solutions, Mid-Atlantic Power is a signatory to Local #26 of the IBEW.
