Technical Business Analyst
Role OverviewIn a collaborative project team environment, the Business Analyst defines functional requirements, develops documentation, creates user stories, and facilitates testing with business stakeholders. This role serves as a critical liaison between IT and business units, providing deep expertise in product lifecycle and inventory management-from distribution centers to stores and end customers.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and aligned with business needs.Identify and document impacted systems by working with system owners and technical teams.Conduct requirements walkthroughs with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.Assist vendor partners and internal teams in translating requirements into user stories.Work with project teams to prioritize functionality and support sprint planning.Develop comprehensive test plans based on business requirements.Coordinate and facilitate testing activities with business stakeholders.Transition test plans to Testing Analysts and QE teams for execution.Provide guidance and support throughout the testing phase to ensure successful validation. Required Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.Experience working within the retail industry.Strong understanding of product flow from inventory management → distribution centers → stores → customers.Experience with the Atlassian suite, especially Jira and Confluence.Comfortable working in hybrid Agile and Waterfall environments.Proven ability to facilitate testing with business stakeholders.Strong skills in:Requirements gathering and analysisProcess documentationEnsuring solutions meet business requirementsCreating test plans from requirementsAbility to drive initiatives and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
