The YCS George Washington School in Hackensack is currently hiring a Music Teacher. GWS is a Department of Education-approved private school for classified students with behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. We have been successfully educating students ages 5-15, grades K-9, for over 30 years. Duties Include:Provide quality music instruction for students in accordance with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards.Develop and implement engaging music lessons that support students' educational, emotional, and developmental needs.Plan curriculum and instructional materials tailored to individual student abilities and learning styles.Encourage creativity, self-expression, and participation through music education activities.Maintain classroom structure and promote a positive learning environment. Job Requirements:Bachelor's degreeNew Jersey Teaching Certificate with appropriate Music endorsement/certificationExperience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges preferred YCS offers a competitive compensation package.
