Project EngineerThe Project Engineer is a member of the Capital Engineering group that provides technical services to the Company in various capacities. In addition to managing capital projects, the Project Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and investigating opportunities to improve the reliability and utilization of the Mills asset base. The Project Engineer should be self-motivating, creative, act as a team leader, and show initiative to strive for continuous improvement in all assignments.Job AccountabilitiesManages small to large capital and major maintenance projectsPrepares estimates, budgets, schedules, materials, and contract specifications for projectsCoordinates design and construction activities with operations, field personnel, procurement, engineering, and construction contractors and manages projects to ensure on budget and on schedule completionProvides support to field maintenance technicians and operations staffMaintains Company technical standards and design criteriaEnsures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for assigned projectsManages multiple projects and initiatives concurrentlyAppropriately communicates with Management on status and developments of projects assigned and/or in progressSupport capital project development, define project scopes, complete project estimates, and support design and constructionReview projects for technical accuracy and clarity and deliver presentations as required to support project updates, justification, and explanationOther duties as assignedQualifications:Required QualificationsBachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil EngineeringTwo (2) five (5) years of practical engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of and ability to apply basic engineering principlesDemonstrated Project Management experienceAbility to coordinate and manage small to large projectsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, vendors, customers, contractors, and regulatory officialsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnelAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong attention to detailAbility to anticipate and adapt to dynamic situationsMust pass drug test and background checkMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesDesired CharacteristicsThree years or more years of experience in project engineering in a paper or manufacturing environmentAdvanced understanding of an integrated paper mill processesWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Promotable position.
