We, therefore, have a long history of excellence in patient care, in the training of residents and fellows as well as medical and allied health students. This is a diverse and growing Department consisting of over 30 clinicians including Faculty, Residents, and Advanced Practice Providers located at our League City, Clear Lake and Galveston campuses. The Department is seeking a highly motivated Dermatologist to provide faculty support to meet the teaching, research and patient care needs of UTMB's threefold mission. https://www.utmb.edu/dermatologyAssistant Professor of Dermatology:will be responsible for providing direct patient care including consultative and outpatient services. This faculty member will participate in all teaching activities of the division including conferences and lectures, rounds, and house staff supervision. Students will include medical students, house staff, nursing students, and allied health students. This individual will also be responsible for advancing clinical knowledge through his/her academic and scholarly efforts. In addition, the person in this position will have administrative responsibilities including advising and evaluating residents and students, providing medical direction for Hospital services, and participating in committee memberships at the departmental and Health System level.Educational Requirements & ExperienceM.D. or D.O degree from an approved medical school.Completion of an approved Dermatology Residency training program.U.S. Board Certification.Valid State of Texas medical license.U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.we cannot support any Visa requirements for this positionCompensation:A base salary of $450,000 with $30,000 in initial incentives will be offered to new graduates in General Dermatology. UTMB offers $0 contribution health insurance plans for individual subscribers and very attractive PTO packages.
