We are your family, friends and neighbors, and we work with and for our community to provide quality healthcare that fits your life and lifestyle.General Summary: As a member of the Hospital's senior management team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the hospital's mission in addition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters that could have an impact on the success of the hospital.Duties and Responsibilities:Overall financial operations of the acute-care facility including accounting, budgetary, audits, tax and other financial planning activities within the hospital organization, including management of respective department headsWorking with system management to develop and implement policies and procedures, short- and long-range goals, objectives and plansProviding financial leadership to hospital managers, directors and officers that will enroll support, create ownership of goals, and encourage active participate in decisions that impact the hospitalEnsuring the hospital meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirementsContributing financial expertise in the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenueManaging costs by continually seeking data that will identify opportunities and take action to eliminate nonvalue costs in conjunction with the hospital's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Nursing OfficerAnalyzing areas in planning, promoting and conducting organization-wide performance improvement activitiesRepresenting the hospital at meetings including medical staff, hospital board of director meetings as well as relevant community meetings as neededParticipating in the hospital's monthly operation reviews as well as participating in corporate office meetings as deemed necessaryResponsible for the administrative aspects of leading the department/team to include budgeting, time approvals, staff evaluations and expense approvalsOther duties as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff and communityDemonstrated ability to cope with and manage change, maintain relationships with emotional maturity and self-motivationExperience to include strategic oversight with an emphasis on financial reporting analysis and cash flow managementRevenue cycle knowledge and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and listening skillsAbility to maintain confidential information concerning personal, financial or medical mattersResponsible for the administrative aspects of leading the department/ team to include budgeting, time approvals, staff evaluations and expense approvalsWork Experience, Education and Certifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution - Master's degree preferredPrevious CFO level or equivalent experience within an acute care environment required5+ years financial/accounting progressive managerial experience in acute-care environment requiredCritical access hospital experience preferredPrevious experience with a proprietary healthcare system highly preferredMust be proficient in written and verbal communication skillsCPA preferredBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and advancement.Supportive work environment with a collaborative team.Comprehensive healthcare coverage.Retirement savings plan.Paid time off and flexible scheduling options.Student loan repayment program.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
