Production Operator IPlease note that this is a short term, temporary position expected to last 2 monthsThe Role, At A GlanceA Production Operator I works as part of a team to produce quality electronic equipment within a dynamic manufacturing environment. A Production Operator I flexes easily between tasks, and seeks to be proficient at all tasks within their assigned functional area. Compensation for this role is $17.50 per hour.How You'll ContributeFabricates or assembles electronic equipment according to written work instructionsDelivers materials to point of consumption in response to Kanban signalsFlexes to multiple work areas daily based on established patternsAccurately performs inventory transactionsActively participates in daily in Tier 1 daily management system (DMS) meetingsYou'll Also Support WithContributing to continuous improvement projectsKeeping work area well organized and cleanAdditional duties as assigned by SupervisorA Successful Candidate Should Have0 1 years of related work experienceMust be able to work Monday - Thursday shift from 3:00PM to 1:30AMTraining in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred, but not requiredFamiliarity with computers and Windows based applicationsAbility to adjust work pace in response to daily production dataPossesses excellent verbal and written skills in EnglishMust be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methodsAble to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMay be required to alternate schedules to meet production goalsAttendance is a critical function of this positionWork EnvironmentAbility to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodicallyStand or sit for long periodsPerform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bendingWork in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levelsUse tools that require fine hand skillsVisually, observe and differentiate small moving partsAbility to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areasWho Is Biamp?We make the world's most extraordinary audio and video solutions.
