CrossoverAustin, TXMay 11th, 2026
Traditional construction jobs ask you to execute a plan. This role requires you to take ownership of delivery timelines—and correct them when circumstances deviate.2 Hour Learning is building a national network of AI-powered microschools that compress a full day of learning into two hours. That model requires both speed and accuracy in physical execution. Each permitting holdup, every on-site sequencing error, and each coordination breakdown decelerates growth. This position exists to remove those obstacles and transform construction into a reliable, scalable system. You will be active on the ground ensuring builds advance. Managing contractors. Maintaining schedules. Resolving sequencing conflicts before they cascade into delays. Simultaneously, you will leverage AI and digital systems to minimize manual effort, enhance transparency, and improve execution velocity. This is not observational oversight. You are the individual who intervenes when schedules drift and restores momentum. If you have experience in construction but are frustrated by weak coordination, lack of accountability, or perpetual crisis response, this is an opportunity to establish control and execute properly—at scale. What You Will Be DoingManage on-site construction operations, collaborating directly with contractors to confirm work proceeds in proper sequence and meets schedule commitmentsTake ownership of project timelines, monitoring milestones, surfacing risks proactively, and initiating corrective measures when schedules slipDeploy platforms such as Procore, Asana, or MS Project to organize tasks, maintain documentation, and monitor progress across live construction sitesFacilitate permitting processes by monitoring submissions, addressing reviewer feedback, and aligning with stakeholders to advance approvalsIntegrate AI technologies to streamline planning, documentation, and decision workflows, decreasing manual workload and increasing execution paceWhat You Won’t Be DoingMonitoring dashboards remotely without taking action when project schedules begin to slipOverseeing projects from a distance without engaging with field conditions and sequencing realitiesDepending on legacy, manual methods for tracking status or communicating with project teamsEvading challenging discussions with contractors or stakeholders when delivery timelines are jeopardizedDelaying decisions until all information is complete rather than acting to address emerging problemsConstruction Project Lead Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure on-time delivery of school construction projects by leading on-site coordination, maintaining schedule discipline, and increasing velocity and reliability through technology and AI integration.Basic RequirementsHands-on construction execution experience (site coordination, contractor oversight, or schedule management) with the capacity to articulate a particular project, your responsibilities, and how you navigated execution obstaclesTrack record of owning or managing a project schedule, including building timelines, monitoring key milestones, and maintaining deadline accountability, with at least one instance of addressing a delay or schedule changeWorking capability with at least one digital project management platform (e.g., Procore, Asana, MS Project) and the ability to detail its application on an actual projectUnderstanding of construction trade sequencing and the ability to recount a scenario where sequencing choices influenced project timingFunctional knowledge of permitting processes (submissions, reviews, revisions, authority interactions) with firsthand participation in at least one cycleProven application of AI technologies to expedite tangible work activities, including a concrete example of the tool employed, outputs created, and validation approach takenAvailability and willingness to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week, with roughly 60% travel throughout the United States driven by project requirementsBased in the United States with authorization to work independently of visa sponsorshipNice-to-have RequirementsBackground managing multiple simultaneous construction projectsFamiliarity with rapid-growth or accelerated build settings where schedules are tightly compressedMotivation to enhance construction workflows through automation or process standardizationAbout 2 Hour LearningEducation is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. They’re tearing down the outdated one-size-fits-all model and replacing it with AI-driven personalized learning that helps kids master academics in just two hours a day. With students consistently ranking in the top 1-2% nationally and the top 20% achieving an astonishing 6.5x growth, they’re proving that smarter learning is possible.
