PCB Design Engineer

Overview As a PCB Designer at TAE Technologies, you’ll shape custom electronic boards integral to our fusion-related hardware. You will own PCB layouts, schematics, and manufacturing documentation, collaborating with engineers to enable reliable hardware bring-up and validation. The role blends hands-on lab work with rigorous design for manufacturability in a fast-paced environment. Compensation / BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision401(K) with company matchpaid vacation + sick timecompanywide December holidaywellness programpar parental leave ResponsibilitiesDesign custom PCBs and electronic assembliesCreate schematic symbols, footprints, and board layouts in Altium DesignerPrepare manufacturing documentation: schematics, BOMs, Gerber files, output packagesSupport analog and digital circuit design activities and component selectionPrototype, test, troubleshoot, and validate boards and devicesInterpret datasheets and perform soldering/rework of SMD componentsSimulate circuits using LTspice, Micro-Cap, or Simulink Key requirements4+ years of PCB design and hardware developmentProficiency with Altium Designer (schematic capture, layout, Draftsman, output packages)Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principlesExperience with multilayer PCB design and manufacturing documentationHands-on lab experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies)Ability to read and apply component datasheetsCompetence in soldering and rework of SMD componentsStrong problem-solving and troubleshootingAttention to detail and documentation qualityAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAltium Designer (schematic capture, layout, Draftsman, manufacturing package generation)Schematic capture and PCB layoutMultilayer PCB design (2–6 layers)
