Details Recovery Room (PACU) setting within a hospital environment Full-time schedule of 4x10-hour day shifts per week (40 hours/week) Rotating weeknight and weekend shifts required 30-minute on-call callback response time required Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required Epic EMR used; on-site training available for those without prior Epic experience Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all completed through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Minimum 2 years of current PACU experience required At least one prior 13-week travel nursing assignment required ADN or ASN degree required Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment English proficiency required (speak, read, write) Additional Information Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols Provides clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel Identifies patient and family education and discharge needs throughout the episode of care Must pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test during the first week of the assignment — failure to pass will result in dismissal Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Former permanent staff of this health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-690687.
