Aurora Central Catholic High School seeks an Athletic Trainer to join a growing Athletic department committed to seeing student-athletes succeed in all of their endeavors. RequirementsResponsibilitiesReporting to the Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the following:Treatment for all athletic injuries; referring injuries to physician if needed.Supervise and build appropriate rehabilitation and strengthening programs for student-athletes recovering from injuries.Coordinate hydration for all teams during practice and games.Evaluate and determine capability of student-athlete participation in game and/or practices after an injury is sustained; Determine when a student-athlete can be released back to practice and/or competition.Accurate completion and organization of appropriate documentation for all injuries treated.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications - Experience, Skills & KnowledgeA Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training is required; Master's degree preferred.At least one (1) year of experience, ideally in a high school, college, or university setting.Current licensure is required.First Aid and CPR certifications required.Familiar with industry best practices and guidelinesAble to work various hours during the week, including weekends, evenings, and over holiday breaksAble to travel to local competitions as needed.Successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.Compensation and Benefits:This position is an hourly, 12-month position, available immediately.
