Our primary product is a fleet of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) designed for sophisticated, coordinated mobility across challenging environments.Led by experts with decades of experience from NASA, JPL, and the self-driving industry, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the hardware design and integration of our ground-based autonomous systems.What You’ll Do:Spearhead hardware design and integration efforts for our ground swarm robots.Design mechanical solutions to integrate sensors, computers, and custom components into off-road autonomous vehicles.Produce ruggedized designs capable of maintaining high performance in harsh, off-road environments.Take technical ownership of hardware delivery through the full development cycle.Collaborate with suppliers and OEM partners to evaluate component designs, requirements, and test plans.Work cross-functionally in a high-paced, fluid tech startup environment.You Should Have:BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.2+ years of experience in CAD design for both prototype and production hardware components.Proven track record of working through an entire product development cycle of a hardware design.Bonus:MS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.Real-world experience designing and fabricating custom ruggedized parts for autonomous ground vehicles.Knowledge of DoD requirements and defense-specific hardware standards.Apply:Email - Paolo at p.melacrinis@strativgroup.comKeywords: Mechanical Engineer, CAD, Robotics, UGV, Mechatronics, Defense, Hardware Design, Ruggedization, Swarm Intelligence, Autonomous Vehicles
