Experienced Lawn Fertilization & Herbicide Specialist
Midwest Landscapes is seeking a licensed, skilled, self-motivated individual to be responsible for precise application of fertilizers, pesticides and other chemicals to our commercial properties and HOA’s.
The ideal candidate will understand safe application of lawn care chemicals and be a committed, punctual, confident, team player who is driven and can set standards for others. Must have or willing to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (categories A & E) and be able to carry out verbal instruction on various sites throughout the work week while ensuring that all work activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner. As a licensed professional, you will be responsible for executing chemical application to enhance the health and appearance of lawns while paying attention to detail and complying with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Apply appropriate fertilizer and chemical applications to commercial properties and HOA’s.
Safely and accurately mix approved materials and become familiar with SDS labels. Filing new and updated SDS sheets as needed.
Recognize and report turf issues.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment used for chemical application.
Effectively communicate with customers regarding services and treatments in a professional manner.
Accurately record the use of products and complete necessary paperwork.
Accurately record and report time entries using LMN Time and submit Fertilizer/Herbicide application record sheets daily.
Perform daily maintenance checklists on equipment and chemicals.
Winter months include working snow removal for contracted commercial sites and HOA’s.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Have or willing to obtain valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (categories A & E) and maintain one as required by local, state, and federal law.
In-depth knowledge of lawn care and pest control with strong understanding of safety protocols and environment consideration in chemical mixing and applications.
Valid MN Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Current DOT Health Card.
Must be willing to work a 40–50-hour work week with some Saturday’s required.
Effective time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules and routes with help and direction from the Maintenance Operations Manager.
Ability to perform work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc.)
Must have good communication skills with management, employees, clients, homeowners, and production staff.
Must follow company’s safety program. Safety must be at the forefront of this candidate’s daily process, making sure all employees are working in a safe manner and keeping the property neat and organized.

Year-Round Work Available – Typical summer season is from April to November. Winter months include working snow removal for contracted commercial sites and HOA's.

Competitive Salary – Wage starting at $27.00–$33.00/hr. Wage is dependent on experience with the option of some overtime during the peak of the season.
