This position is dedicated to providing customer service to policyholders by providing fair and timely resolutions of claims. The Field Adjuster understands insureds needs and provides advice in order to deliver appropriate solutions. The candidate for this position will need to live near Indianapolis or South Bend, Indiana.The following are the usual, basic and essential functions of the position. These functions are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.Essential Job FunctionsCommunicate with independent adjusters and other experts to gather information on claimsNegotiate and explain settlements with the insured and/or their representativesAnswer incoming telephone calls from agents, public adjusters, insureds, and other vendorsReview and analyze written informationKnowledge of multiple policy formsPrepare reports based on the policy languagePrepare detailed estimates of the damageUnderstanding of estimating softwareRely on training and guidance from management to plan and accomplish goalsExperience writing Property estimates using Xactimate or related softwareAbility to climb on ladders to inspect roofsAbility to carry a 40-pound ladderSupports catastrophe operations as needed to include working extended hours during designated CATsRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilityHigh School Diploma or GED2+ years property field adjusting experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookMust possess Insurance LicensePossession of other state license as required by managementAbility to work independently as well as a team playerAbility to multi-taskComputer savvyBasic calculator skillsWorking knowledge of ISO policiesValid driver's licenseWrapped Company vehicle providedBilingual preferred#ZRBenefit HighlightsIndustry leading medical, dental and vision insurance plan401(k) Retirement Plan with a company match of 100% on up to 5% of compensation (match is fully-vested immediately)Generous PTO policyEligible for performance based bonuses
