Join Fishbeck as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader and take the lead on critical inspections of bridges, culverts, and related structures across Michigan. What You'll Work On Lead a team of inspectors, hiring and managing staff to build a bridge inspection team. Lead and perform routine, in-depth, and special inspections in compliance with NBIS and other federal, state, and local standards. Assess structural conditions and identify safety concerns or maintenance needs. Prepare detailed inspection reports with photographs, sketches, and condition assessments. Pursue inspection and scoping opportunities at the state and local level, through proposal writing and client engagement. Coordinate inspection schedules and logistics with internal teams and external partners. Interpret engineering plans, specifications, and as-built drawings. Use advanced inspection tools and technologies, including drones, ultrasonic testing, and bridge management software. Mentor junior inspectors and provide technical guidance to engineering staff. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during fieldwork. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop repair and rehabilitation strategies. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of bridge inspection experience. Certified NBIS Team Leader. PE license preferred. Proficiency in bridge inspection software (e.g., AASHTOWare, Bentley InspectTech). Strong understanding of bridge design, construction, and maintenance. Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal. Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field assignments. Ready to Apply?
