Job Description26North is recruiting a Principal, Product Specialist – Private Equity to join our Business Development team in a senior role that combines product expertise, client engagement, and strategic leadership. As a Principal, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Private Equity and other equity-oriented funds, acting as a bridge between investment teams and investors. You will shape product development, craft compelling narratives for clients, and play a key role in the growth of our platform.ResponsibilitiesLead product management initiatives for private equity, including market research, content creation, and competitive positioning across equity strategies (flagship Private Equity, Infrastructure, etc.) as well as co-investments and continuation vehiclesPartner with investment leadership to refine product structures and ensure alignment with client needsLead creation of fundraising and marketing materials, including pitchbooks, DDQs, and RFPsFunction as a senior resource to Business Development team, collaborating with junior resources to train and execute on strategy objectivesProvide commercial insights to support fundraising efforts, sales initiatives, and strategic account planningMaintain and improve data management systems for diligence trackers, investor pipelines, and content librariesCollaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of new productsDevelop thought leadership pieces, market commentary, and external communications to strengthen the firm’s brandQualifications8–12+ years of experience in private equity, alternatives product strategy, investor relations, or capital raisingStrong expertise in private equity structures and markets, including co-investmentsProven ability to support or lead successful institutional fundraising initiativesExperience managing and developing junior team membersExceptional analytical and research skills with proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to institutional investorsBachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential a plusAbility to work independently and collaboratively across functions, with a strong attention to detail and project management skillsStrong track record and demonstrated commitment to upholding our core values of excellence, teamwork, stewardship, integrity, and respectBenefits 26North offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus based on performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $180,000.00 and $250,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion.
