The successful candidate will be a strategic and hands-on finance leader, responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analysis. This role demands a close partnership with the CFO and senior leadership to provide clear financial insights, enhance decision-making, and develop a high-performing FP&A function that aligns with both operational needs and long-term strategy. Key responsibilities include leading the full budgeting and forecasting process, developing driver-based forecasts, and translating complex financial information into actionable narratives. The role also involves team leadership, long-range and scenario planning, and driving process improvement initiatives to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with advanced credentials such as an MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years' of experience in financial planning, analysis, or finance leadership roles is required, with a preference for those with over 10 years' of experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in large, complex organizations, and experience in charter schools, education, or nonprofit sectors is highly valued. Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning is essential, as is advanced Excel skills. Experience with business intelligence and planning platforms is a plus, and a background in government or philanthropic grant funding is also advantageous.
