Legal Counsel Manager – Commercial Banking (Miami, FL)Our client, a top-performing U.S. financial institution with a growing Florida regional operation, is hiring a Legal Counsel Manager to lead all legal activities for the region. This is an on-site, in-house role based in Miami.The Florida Legal Unit closes residential mortgage loans and commercial banking credit facilities, manages foreclosure litigation, and supports the bank's continued expansion across the state. The hire will reduce reliance on outside counsel by bringing more legal work in-house and will work closely with the corporate General Counsel function.What you'll doLead all legal activities for the Florida region of the bankSupervise commercial banking credit facility closings and residential mortgage loan closingsManage the foreclosure litigation portfolio and REO property salesReview, analyze, and respond to subpoenas, writs of garnishment, notice of levies, and fraud mattersProvide in-house legal counsel on employment, regulatory, and compliance mattersManage outside counsel relationships and reduce external legal spendDraft and negotiate vendor, partner, and client contractsSupervise a team of 2 paralegalsAdvise regional leadership on legal risk and escalate to corporate when appropriateWhat we're looking forJD from an accredited U.S. law school10+ years of legal counsel experience representing a financial institutionFlorida Bar admission at the time of hire (required)Commercial banking transactional experience – credit facilities and loan closings (not general or regulatory banking)Direct experience with residential mortgage closings, foreclosure litigation, and legal process responseFully bilingual English/Spanish – write, speak, and comprehendMiami-based and able to work full-time on-sitePreferredPrior in-house experience at a bank or financial institutionLaw firm background in commercial finance, real estate, or banking practiceSupervisory experience over paralegals or junior counselCompensationBase salary range: $155,000 – $170,000Annual bonus structure plus benefitsAbout ttg Talent Solutionsttg is a U.S. staffing and recruiting firm.
