About the Position:

As an Intervention Specialist working at The Children’s TLC, you will:
Provide quality, 1:1 play-based behavior intervention to children or adolescents using techniques from the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Follow written and individualized treatment plans and goals.
Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Collect and track therapy data daily.
Complete detailed daily documentation throughout therapy sessions.
Work closely with families, physicians, therapists, and other related professionals such as teachers to ensure the success of your clients.
Provide family training as needed.
Participate in staff meetings and attend required trainings.
Meet with your supervisor regularly to support high-quality care, carry-over, and the effectiveness of each client’s treatment plan.
Support behavioral needs in a variety of settings such as the home, school, or in the community.
Transport clients to and from home or community treatment locations.
Through evidenced-based practice, you’ll use naturalistic teaching opportunities that are child-led, engaging, and motivating to capitalize on each child's preferred interests, as well as apply research-based, science-driven tools and strategies to help your clients learn, grow, and thrive—all while improving their self-esteem and overall independence.

As a member of our growing team of therapy professionals, you’ll have full-time access to our state-of-the art sensory gym, individual therapy rooms, therapeutic kitchen, and outdoor play area.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum of 1 year or 1,040 hours of experience in working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities (documented on resume and substantiated by the work experiences, the individual’s degree, or other coursework).
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a human services field or a minimum of twenty-four (24) documented semester credits in a human service field, i.e. Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, etc.
Additional Requirements:
Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
Must pass a background check with the Idaho Criminal History Unit
Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle

The Children's TLC provides therapeutic care for children from birth to 21 years of age.
