Director, Client Strategy (Ecommerce)OverviewWe have been engaged for a search for a Director of Client Strategy to lead strategic partnerships and drive growth across the ecommerce client portfolio. This role is responsible for shaping and executing data-driven strategies that improve customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value for our clients.The ideal candidate brings a blend of commercial acumen, digital expertise, and client leadership, with a strong understanding of the ecommerce landscape and evolving consumer behavior.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Strategy & AdvisoryServe as the strategic lead for key ecommerce clients, developing tailored growth strategies aligned to business objectivesAdvise on full-funnel performance including acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer experienceTranslate complex data into clear, actionable insights for client stakeholdersRevenue Growth & Account ExpansionIdentify opportunities to grow client accounts through new initiatives, channels, and servicesPartner with business development to drive upsell and cross-sell opportunitiesOwn revenue performance across a portfolio of accountsEcommerce & Digital ExpertiseGuide clients on best practices across key ecommerce levers:Paid media (search, social, marketplaces)Conversion rate optimization (CRO)Lifecycle marketing (email/SMS)Merchandising and digital experienceStay ahead of industry trends including AI-driven personalization, marketplace dynamics, and shifting consumer behaviorData & Performance ManagementOversee performance tracking, reporting, and forecasting across client accountsLeverage analytics to inform strategy and optimize resultsEstablish KPIs tied to revenue, ROAS, CAC, LTV, and retentionCross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate with internal teams (marketing, analytics, creative, operations) to execute client strategiesEnsure alignment between strategy and delivery across all channelsMentor and guide junior strategists and account leadsClient Experience & RetentionBuild strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholdersLead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning sessionsDrive long-term client satisfaction, retention, and partnership growthQualifications8–12+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital strategy, or client servicesProven track record of driving revenue growth for ecommerce brandsDeep understanding of performance marketing, CRO, and customer lifecycle strategiesStrong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisionsExcellent communication and executive presenceWhat Sets This Role ApartDirect impact on client revenue and growth strategyExposure to a diverse portfolio of ecommerce brands and business modelsOpportunity to shape strategy in a fast-evolving, digitally driven marketCompensationCompetitive base salary $185K-$225K DOE, + performance-based bonusRevenue or account growth incentivesFlexible, hybrid/remote work environmentComprehensive benefits package
