Engine Calibration Engineer

This role will begin on April 1, 2026 but we will start interviewing for the role at the mid to end of February.We are specifically looking for an individual experienced/knowledgeable in internal combustion engine calibration. The Calibration Engineer opportunity requires a candidate with strong communication skills as this position will directly interface with the customer and internal teams.Skill Team Roles:Defines, plans, and performs engine, powertrain calibration and other relevant engineering project work within project team as required. Plans and manages engineering resources according to project requirements. Works on specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, preparation of specifications, technical plans, engine testing, vehicle testing, data analysis and validation. Support/ensures data quality and writes technical project reports. Reviews project for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements, including opinions and interpretations. Coordinates activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering test issues. Defines, executes and supports research and development activities. Participate in customer meetings. Communicates test results, progress and issues as they arise to project team and customer. Participates in powertrain calibration development trips as required. Other duties as required to ensure project success. Experience And EducationBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related fieldMasters' degree preferred2 years or more experience in engine calibrationThe Calibration Engineer is expected to have demonstrated abilities in the following areas:TechnicalA thorough understanding of Internal Combustion Engines and Powertrain related vehicle systems functionalityA basic understanding of IC engine emissions controls components, After Treatment Systems and functionality.
