Our work is rooted in thoughtful design, historical precedent, exceptional detailing, and a highly collaborative approach between architecture and interiors. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer / Director of Interior Design to join our growing team. This is a leadership-level opportunity for a design professional who thrives in high-end residential work and enjoys collaborating closely with architects, clients, builders, and a well-established interior design team.This position is primarily remote, with travel to our Chagrin Falls office approximately once per month for team meetings, project reviews, and collaborative planning sessions.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage luxury residential interior design projects from concept through installationCollaborate closely with architects and interior designers to develop cohesive architectural and interior design solutionsDevelop interior concepts, finish palettes, furniture plans, lighting plans, and detailed specificationsPrepare and present design concepts, materials, and presentations to clientsManage client communication and maintain strong relationships throughout all phases of design and constructionCoordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors, and tradesOversee procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and project management responsibilities as neededMentor and support junior interior designers and contribute to the continued growth of the interiors departmentMaintain a strong understanding of luxury residential design trends while respecting classical and traditional design principlesQualifications8+ years of high-end residential interior design experienceDegree in Interior Design or related fieldStrong portfolio demonstrating exceptional residential interiors and attention to detailExperience managing projects from concept through construction and furnishing installationExcellent communication, presentation, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a teamProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other industry-standard softwareExperience with custom furnishings, cabinetry, architectural detailing, and material specifications preferredNCIDQ certification and/or ASID affiliation is a plusWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on nationally recognized luxury residential projectsCollaborative environment integrating architecture and interior design under one roofFlexible remote work structureEstablished and highly respected firm with an outstanding reputation for design excellenceCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunity for long-term leadership growth within the firmTo ApplyPlease submit your resume, portfolio, and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and design approach to info@childsarchitects.comLearn more about our firm:childsarchitects.com
