The position ensures that product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and development priorities align with business objectives to drive revenue growth and profitability. By partnering cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, and operations, the role ensures efficient execution of product development and successful go-to-market strategies. Ultimately, this position strengthens Det-Tronics’ market leadership by delivering innovative, high-value solutions that meet evolving customer and industry needs.Key ResponsibilitiesOwns and drives the product lifecycle management and the P&L for Optical and Acoustic Gas DetectionWorks with the wider Product Management Team to define and execute the integrated Fire, Gas, and Systems product portfolio multi-year strategy.Identifies and partners with third-party suppliers to expand our offeringsPartners across the organization to identify and prioritize the roadmap to business objective attainmentCollaborates with functional peers to define & secure resources necessary to support projectsEnsures the appropriate mix of projects is active to achieve revenue and profitability goalsPrioritizes mix and scope of projects to maximize ROI for the organizationFacilitates effective execution of the stage-gate product development process across teamsEnsure project teams quickly reach decisions that help balance customer and business objectives.Translate offerings core benefits to inform successful go-to-market strategiesOwnership of pricing strategy for offeringsWork with cross-functional teams to manage offering vitality including actively upgrading, extending and retirementBe critical about SKU proliferation and lead SKU rationalizationPartner to ensure that training, marketing material, etc., communicate product value & differentiation in a compelling wayWhat You BringBasic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years’ product development experienceAbility to travel up to 25% of the timePreferred QualificationsOther qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:Significant experience developing product road maps and executing product development plansDemonstrated aptitude in leveraging human-centered design principles to deliver customer-focused products and solutionsKnowledge and experience in flame and gas detection or other sensing industriesKnowledge of IEC 60079-29 standard and its implications for performance approvalsEntrepreneurial and innovative with a strategic mindsetAbility to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of the organizationAn executive presence with polished and well-developed facilitation, written and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertiseAssertive and confident with a strong point of view while able to understand/empathize and support other perspectives.
