About the Role:Role: Data engineer IIILocation: Newport Beach CADuration: 06 MonthsHow you’ll help move us forward:Partnering with data architects, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions in an effective manner.Build scalable & reliable solutions with robust security, quality, performance, and governance protocolsDeliver solutions aligned with modern target state architecture and cloud-based technologiesCreate and maintain design artifacts that support data engineering solutionsPromoting a culture of continuous improvement and agile methodologies.Ensure data engineering standards and best practices are followedDemonstrate adaptability, initiative and attention to detail through deliverables and ways of workingThe experience you bring:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, analytics or related field.4+ years of relevant experience in analysis, design, development, and delivery of data4+ years of experience and proficiency in SQL, ETL, ELT, leading cloud data warehouse technologies, and data management toolsUnderstanding data engineering best practices and data integration patterns2+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CDEffective communication & facilitation; both verbal and writtenTeam-Oriented: Collaborating effectively with team and stakeholdersAnalytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex data solutionsWhat makes you stand out:Ability & experience leading DataOps/DevOps team that include release, deploy, operate and monitor data products1+ years of experience in Snowflake, Data Build Tool (DBT), & MatillionExperience with automation, optimization and innovation in data management and batch cycle environmentsFinancial services domain knowledgeData driven individual with ability to set up effective processes in your sphere of ownershipStrong communication with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specificationsExperience delivering Finance domain data engineering solutionsExperience with Control M orchestration tool
