Job Title: Design Engineer - PharmaLocation: Rensselaer, NYContract: 12+ Months ContractRequired Qualifications:5+ years of pharmaceutical engineering experience with hands-on installation of pharmaceutical equipmentStrong background in pharmaceutical or life sciences environmentsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical EngineeringExperience supporting large-scale capital projects in cross-functional environmentsAbility to work independently while managing multiple shifting prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with bioreactors, WFI systems, instrumentation, alarms, commissioning, and testing activitiesResponsibilities:Support the Engineering & Automation team in bringing new pharmaceutical process areas onlineAssist with detailed design activities, commissioning, instrumentation work, alarm testing, and manufacturing process supportCollaborate with cross-functional manufacturing and process engineering teamsProvide hands-on engineering support across multiple ongoing projects and operational activitiesWork autonomously to support FTE engineers and proactively identify gaps or project needsManage competing priorities in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentThe ideal candidate is technically strong, self-driven, and capable of operating with minimal supervision while supporting critical engineering initiatives.
