Beacon Health System is seeking a reliable and customer-focused PRN Medical Receptionist to support our Acute Physical Therapy department in Dowagiac, MI.What is PRN?PRN (as-needed) means you’ll work a flexible, on-call schedule to help cover staffing needs such as call-offs, vacations, and peak times.Key ResponsibilitiesGreets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation. Verifies and enters demographic information.Obtains and verifies insurance authorizations/precertification. Completes medical record release requests and schedules/confirms patient appointments.Enters, reviews and submits charges for patient procedures and services daily. Collects co-payments and reconciles all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.Provides general office and clerical support to the assigned area.QualificationsPrevious medical office or customer service experience preferredEducational background in lieu of experienceStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and adapt to changing needsBasic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling systemsJoin a team committed to delivering outstanding care and creating a welcoming environment for every patient.
