Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Physician Near Bear Creek, WI We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician specializing in Hematology and Oncology for a locum tenens position near Bear Creek, WI. Position Overview: Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and OncologyType: Locum TenensStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: OngoingCoverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus CallPractice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient Key Responsibilities: Clinical Hours:Work Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.Provide care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including outreach to a secondary location two days a week. The exact schedule will be determined based on availability and needs.Call Coverage:The role includes call coverage for two weeks per month, with call shared among others in the system. Call is handled one week at a time, ensuring manageable and predictable on-call duties.Clinical Requirements:Board certification in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology is required.An active Wisconsin (WI) medical license is necessary. Certifications in ACLS and ATLS are required, while ABLS, BLS, and PALS are not.Experience with the Cerner EMR system is preferred.Procedures and Equipment:Perform bone marrow biopsies and administer intrathecal chemotherapy.Utilize equipment such as Intellidose TxM for treatment and management.Practice Details:The position involves solo practice with support from three Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in the department.Radiation oncology services are available on-site.Temporary privileges are available if needed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 60 days, provided there are no issues with the credentialing file. Additional Information: Location:The position is based near Bear Creek, WI, with outreach responsibilities to Stevens Point, WI, two days a week.
